The Past

The Burn Before the Bloom

I’m Megan – a woman in the thick of becoming.

I’m a mom, a partner, a cannabis advocate and industry worker, a weight lifter, a women’s health and fitness enthusiast, and a forever-evolving version of myself. I’ve burned through old identities, old habits, and A LOT of parts of my past that no longer fits the woman I’m building today.

I’ve been “California” sober for over four years; that’s a cold pressed juice mocktail in my hand by the way. –laughs in irony at the picture I chose for this

But while that part of my story does not define me, it is one of the many things that fuel me everyday. Cannabis has been a plant ally in my healing, clarity and grounding -just one of many plant allies – and I’m passionate about the way it has and can support people in wellness.

I’ve learned to breathe through hard seasons, heavy lifts, and hormonal chaos. I’ve built strength from the inside out – through reps, rituals, and reflection. I’m by no means finished but I have most certainly come a long way.

This blog is my love letter to transformation – messy, magical, muscular transformation – and an open invitation for you to walk this journey with me, if you feel called to.

Disclaimer

Everything shared on Burn Breathe Build Become comes from my own lived experience – not from a medical degree or a personal training certification.

I’ve spent over four years working in the cannabis industry, learning deeply about the plant, its’ properties, and how it can support wellness, healing and presence. What I share here is rooted in that professional background and personal experience.

I’m not a licensed doctor, fitness coach, or therapist. I’m a woman navigating her own healing – lifting heavy in all areas of life, breathing through it, and sharing what’s helped me in hopes it might resonate with you too.

Take what serves you, leave what doesn’t and always consult with your healthcare providers before starting a new wellness or fitness routine, as well as before beginning to heal with cannabis.
